Any Cary family law case will be litigated in Wake County Courthouse’s civil division. This is also called the Tenth Judicial District Courthouse. The building is located in downtown Raleigh and the Civil Division Clerk’s office is in Room 1110 on the 11th floor. Nearby courthouse parking is available at the Wake County parking deck which has entrances at Cabarrus and Davie Streets.
Any case involving divorce, domestic violence, child custody, child support, alimony and distribution of property matters is handled in the Wake County District Court.
The Wake County District Court Civil Division Clerk’s office operates the Child Support Department, which is located in the Waverly Akins Building (on the 8th Floor) in downtown Raleigh. This office handles a variety of child support issues, including the enforcement of court-ordered child support obligations.
